The charm of the 1940s in a modern salon
Discovered under a layer of old linoleum and carefully restored, the warm polished floorboards of The Hair Chair salon are original to the building, an architectural landmark of Summer Hill.
This streamlined Art Deco block was christened 'Penali' in 1939 to great fanfare with its "All-Electric" innovation. To this day it retains most of its original character – as does the charming village of Summer Hill itself.
